Yes at that point in the ride my throttle hand was hurting, that is why I was taking my time passing the Harleys. Plus I am not an aggressive rider so all my passes are very clean. Oh and you and I never discussed anything about the guy on the other speed triple, we only briefly discussed your pass.

I was not on a Panigale, it was a stock 848.

I had a blast on this trip, pace was nice and as big as the group was no one went down or even close. Thx to the guys that put it together, the change of dinner plans could not have been better. The river was very relaxing after the hot ride. And the morning weather was perfect.

I went off-road for 5 seconds or so, but it felt like an eternity. I knew I was done for, but some how I pulled it together.

Oh I see, apologies I am not familiar with Ducati models at all. But that's ok because I was actually riding a Street Triple... Almost 400cc less than what Bucknut was on. At one point in time I remember being behind you and thinking "man I could really be going faster than this". I put my foot in my mouth later when I told JD that and he goes... "You know that guy is a Ridesmart instructor, right?" D'OH.

To be honest, I'm sure it probably hurt you more than helped you considering you won't go over a certain speed (which I am not making a dig at you about). Of course the terms hurt and help are relative because it's not like anyone was racing, but you get my point. I'd imagine the extra weight makes the speedy just a little less nimble in the tight twisties, but if you're not willing to haul the mail coming down the stretch then the extra power might not be doing you much good.

Absolutely we will trailer to Fayetteville, I have ridden my fair share of miles to Fayetteville, Hill Country, etc...

Saying that I still ride my bike around town here and there , its only half trailer queen.
