Cleaning White Walls

So guys... any clever tips or ideas on how to keep em clean? I've been told SOS Pads, Simple Green, Windex and much much more. I just want to know what would be the best method to cleaning them. My tires are brand new and I was able to get the factory blue coating off by using Ajax and a green pad.. My concern is my new chrome front rim.. I don't want to scuff it at all during cleaning.

Scotch brite pads and windex works fine. Simple green is good. I use to use this stuff to clean off the blue stuff they put on white letter tires, for the life of me I can't remember what it was called

Well, pops didn't have chrome rims, but I remember him using a diluted bleach mix with water. The old lincoln had billet alum wheels and it never damaged them. But it seems you are on the right track, simple green with a scuff pad should be sufficiant.

I've been using this stuff for about 10-15 years and it's never failed me. I've used it on white walls and continue to use it on regular black wall tires and even the bike. I've used them on every finish of wheel as well with no issues. Spray it on, let it sit, spray it off. For white walls, I'd suggest a separate tire brush for a quick once over, but everything will come off. It's sold everywhere, so it's easy to find.

I've been using Westley's on the Roadrunner and GTX. My father-in-law has been using it for decades and it safe on all wheels. You can pick it up at most retails shops and auto parts stores.

This product has been on the market for years. It was distributed by a company called Westley's. They were acquired by Black Magic, or whoever the makes Black Magic, in 2013...

I buy white wall cleaner often and I remember when I first saw that brand on the shelves... I'm not a big Black Magic fan so I'm kind of biased to it.

Well that sucks... I hope they don't change the formula. Black Magic makes terrible products. I use to purchase their stuff back when I didn't know any better and was on a budget. I'm big on Mothers though and Maguire's.

Nope, they didn't change a thing other than adding their logo to the bottle. As far as I can tell, it works just as it did years ago.
