That's not the reason people don't like him. It's because he's always complaining about something. The management of the series, the press, other riders, etc.

I don't dislike him, but I can certainly understand why others do. He's kind of the opposite personality of why fans gravitate to guys like Rossi or Simoncelli.

Anyone not know Stoner likes fishing? He mentions it all the time.

As for riding for pedrosa, it is as he said, he offered and Honda turned him down. Not able to put together the crew and effort to give him a podium shot on short notice. They want to protect his image more than he does.

As far as complaints go. I never heard more complaints about a bike than Rossi on a Ducati, or frankly even Marquez now that he now longer has his way. Stoner just rode what he had. The times he complained about the series was when they took bikes which have already been designed and month befor the first race bolted 7 lbs to them and got rid of the stiff front tire because Ducati could not make the min weight with their frameless 1k riden by Rossi and needed all the help they could get. Actually Pedrosa was more vocal about it, Stoner already decided he'd jad enough.

As for Simmochelli, just as many people disliked him as liked him. He was fast and unpredictable. Many top riders and fans were divided. After his death we can only like him however.

Suzuka should be good.
