^^wow!

I personally think Arai's are the sh*t. I havent tried one on, but if the fit was good I think it would be worth the $$$.

I just felt like stirring the pot up.

Sport Rider Magazine did a big helmet safety comparo last year. Their conclusion was that several of the cheaper helmets out performed the high dollar ones in the tests that simulated the majority of real world crashes.
The really cheap helmets, like the $69 JC Whitney ones are but the ones like HJC and KBC did as well as any and cost less than half of Arai, Suomy or even some of the Shoeis.
The helmet that they picked as their choice for price and safety comparison was the VR1.
I bought a KBC VR2 and feel good that it is safe, comfortable and it vents really well. Plus a tinted shield was only $29.

ill used only shoei's. i fell a few time w/ my Rf-1000 but the last one was on 290 2 years ago. face first at 97 Mph, not a problem w/ my head. crash at 125+ mph on my X-11, x-ray, cat scan and MRI shows not injuries on my head. i now got another x-11 and have much faith in it. im not saying its the best. im just saying i trust it. thats my .02 cents

I like my shoei rf-1000 but i want to buy another helmet soon. Either an arai RX-7 corsair, Showi x-11 or the suomy spec-1.
