Just moved to Tomball from Tampa area

Hi all. Thought I would post my obligatory intro thread.

We just moved to Tomball this last month from the Tampa, FL area. I was actually the admin of the sportbike forum over there, and that's really how I connected with most of my friends there. Maybe I can do the same here! Especially considering this forum seems to have a ton of traffic. Wife and I are early 30's with no kids.

I started riding in 2005, and have been known as a habitual bike flipper. These have all been in the garage at some point:

2005 Ninja 250
2000 R6
2003 CBR600RR
2008 Ducati 1098 (crunched in a parking lot with <2,000mi)
2008 Ninja 250 (wife's first bike)
2009 Triumph Street Triple 675 (wife's second bike)
2010 Ducat Streetfighter 1098
2009 Kawasaki Versys 650
2010 R1
2000 Monster 900ie (flip project)
2008 Ducati 1098 (flip project)
2010 ZX6R
2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200
2015 Ducati Monster 1200S (just bought here in TX)

Thanks guys.

So are there any good recurring events going on? Good places to meet folks?

Cool, thanks for the heads up.

Hehe. I'm really no so much of a Starbucks-hipster-type, though. I just like bikes that have some character, no matter the make. The 1098/1198 is just such a cool motor. Some bikes have gotten so good, so smooth, and so easy to ride that it almost takes the fun out of it. Almost...

No hipsters there at Euro night. Its mostly old Triumphs, BSAs and such, then toss in Ducatis and a few ricers, and it becomes an interesting mix. Never know what shows up there. Even the weird scooter people show up. Good people though.

Cool, I'll definitely be in for that once the details get settled.

I just found this forum by searching, looked to be the biggest local bike forum. Like I mentioned, I was the owner of the local bike forum back in Florida, so I kinda already know how this works.

yup, thread constantly changes due to location. You can probably search for "nw monday meet" and find previous threads.

Hehe, thanks!

Buliding replica movie props is one of my other hobbies. 501st Legion costuming, and all of that.
