New addition to the family!

No, I'm not going to be a father... Added a new steed to the stable Saturday and she's a monster! A few weeks ago I managed to detonate the lower rod bearing and top end on my RM125. Just so happened the gentleman parked next to me at Rio was trying to sell his kx250f to get a 450. It only took a lap to hook me, but I pounded out another 5 or 6 because I just couldn't get enough. So, while I'm waiting on my 125 cylinder to get replated I figured "while the not!?"

It's a 2011 kx250f, first year of fuell injection and single function forks. You kick it 4 times ice cold and she fires RIGHT up. The first 3 kicks charge the stator enough for the fuel pump to prime and #4 fires her up, no throttle required! Throttle response is unreal compared to the carb bikes and there's smooth power all the way up. However, she does really enjoy revving high! Enjoy the sexy green machine ladies and gents!

The same day I rode this one, his buddy insisted I take a few laps on his '13 kx450f... It's the first time I've ridden a 450 and ho-ly ! That thing was truly a torque monster. You need to get one and come play in the dirt Nesto!

Congrats! I love me a 250f. Easiest bike to ride fast. The Kawis are supposed to have the broadest power band which will make it even easier. I haven't ridden the EFI 250s yet. Was thinking about getting one to replace my 08 yz250f but I cant justify the cost yet because my bike only has about 30 hours on it. Maybe after I put some more time on it. For now I'm just going to put a little money into her. I've ridden the EFI 450s and they are very smooth.

Same with the 250f man! Smooth as butter. I got it out to 3 palms yesterday and noticed that the throttle is REALLY sensitive from closed to 1/8. Super fun bike and I had a blast in the sand. It is definitely an easier bike to ride than my RM 125.

[QUOTE=40acres;3901157]Thanks! I'm hoping Rio will open up the night track tomorrow!

I called the track line a little bit ago and they stated the track is currently under water.. he usually puts a time/date stamp on the message but he didn't, so I don't know if this was a message from today or yesterday ... I really wish the rain would calm the eff down.. it's really bumming me out.
