Houston Texans' J.J. Watt visits Chelsea Football Club in London

Could J.J. Watt soon lace up his football boots and hit the pitch?

The Houston Texans defensive end paid a visit to a different football team over the weekend... English football, that is.

Watt took in Chelsea Football Club's final soccer game of the season Sunday to see the club hoist the English Premier League trophy after a win.

"It's great to be here, very exciting as it's my first match ever," he said. "I've been a fan for a few years now and I'm excited to see the team lift the trophy."

Watt also worked out in the Chelsea Club before the game and talked about the sport's appeal in the U.S.

"Soccer has such unbelievably passionate fans throughout the whole world, and I think it's only a matter of time before it becomes just as big in America," he said.

Chelsea visits the United States this summer for the International Champions Cup:

July 22 – New York Red Bulls vs. Chelsea, in Harrison, New Jersey
July 25 – Paris Saint-Germain vs. Chelsea, in Charlotte, North Carolina
July 28 – Barcelona vs. Chelsea, in Washington D.C.
