THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLIES!

If you don't want to ride with us thats cool but he is trying to learn and he doesn't haul and i don't really care if he has experience or not! i will try to help a new rider to learn instead of downing him I have been riding for 28 years and i feel if you are experienced you will know what and how to handle situations with new riders and where you should be while riding with them in case of a mistake! Also if experienced riders don't teach the new guys/girls then who will the news paper obituaries?

P.S. I USED TO RIDE WHEELIES ALL THE TIME ON MY BUSA UNTIL I GOT TIRED OF BUYING NEW TIRES AND CHAINS!!

how do you "correct" a quarter mile time? either you were that fast or you werent. period. those times are with professional riders with bone stock bikes. guys like us are taking our bikes (not me personally, not yet) and getting in the low 11s. you saying a professional rider couldnt get it in the mid 10s? methinks logic thwarts you my friend.

Show me where I downed him. I clearly stated it was my own personal preference, and that there was nothing wrong with learning at all, as each of us were there at some point or another.

ok so that still doesnt explain how amateur riders are gettin in the low 11s here ( 0ft sea level, hundred degrees all day long) on a 600 cc bike. that still tells me that a pro can get in the mid to low 10s easily.

ummm....Sportbike Magazine, or any other "rag" isnt gonna hire "average joe" from the suburbs to ride a brand new bike that they dont even own to test them out. just FYI.

then why even bring up "suburb joe" then when youre gonna reply with something like "duh, i knew that"? youre spinning in circles there.

corrected or not, these bikes nowadays ARE capable of mid 10 second TRUE quarter mile times. deal with that as you may. and your idea if a 600 putting out 50hp is the most rediculous thing ive ever heard, especially when you say that your lawnmower puts out 22 TRUE hp. um yeah, slap that on a 350 lb bike and see where it gets you in a hurry.
