Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors Game 1 preview

The Rockets head into Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference final just two days after completing a comeback from down 3-1 to eliminate the Clippers. Houston was 0-4 against Golden State this season.

If Houston hopes to move into the NBA Finals for the first time since 1995 they're going to have to win at least once on the Warriors home floor and that's proved to be difficult. Golden State is a dominating 43-3 at home this season.

The Warriors rolled to a franchise-record 67 wins in the regular season, finishing 11 games ahead of second-place Houston. They won all four games against the Rockets during the regular season, winning by an average of 15.3 points.

Golden State is in the conference finals for the first time since 1976, a year after winning the franchise's only Bay Area title.

The Warriors are led by MVP Stephen Curry, while James Harden paces the Rockets. Harden finished second in scoring during the regular season.

Curry and Harden are the two remaining leading scorers in the playoffs.
