Decent motorcycle routes around Houston?

Does anyone have a good recommendation of roads around
Houston to take? Im looking for winding roads ( I know its a long shot around here ) and possibly a day trip around the area. I did plan on going to Austin to ride for the weekend but dislocated my knee and a long trip doesnt sound like a comfortable idea until it heals. Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions

3090 AND 362 are about the best two i know of in houston area. and even then, its almost an hour for me up willowbrook to that area. 149 through the forest isnt half bad either...but austin/hill country still trumps these roads by a long shot

When we do road trips, we use back roads up through the Dayton area, then head around Lake Livingston, and then head towards SHNF and back... I don't know of any really windy roads here.. we usually hit the Kerrville/Hunt area of Tx for those..

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I was starting to get tired of the usual routes I take and a little adventure would be a welcome change

yup..it sucks having to spend so much seat time to get anywhere worth riding. Im from VA, and when i lived at home it took me a whopping 2 minutes in any direction to hit a good road. and a 30 minute drive through the national forest and i was climbing a mountain into WVA. I miss the valley </3

Best parts are out by Kerrville which is about 2 hours from you.

LIME CREEK ROAD was fun, but watch for gravel. Really there are tons of roads, im not 100% familiar with the area. but its almost all better than houston!!

next time im in the area we can go explore and get lost lol

Typically too many cars to have fun out there. Not to mention State Troopers. I have ridden out there a bit. Not to mention the sun and tree affect on your eyes depending on the time of day/year.
