It means that the reporting blatantly omits some facts that help make it appear as though 170 biker gang members participated in a shoot out.
I'm curious to see how many of the dead and wounded were from shots fired by the police and how many were from the "gang members".....
Well, if you look at the pictures and video of the aftermath, it's pretty obvious that the majority of the bikers were just hanging out, looking bored, playing with their I-phones, and not at all like 170 were all involved in an all about brawl.

I always had the impression that just a few started it all, especially since the fight started in the bathroom. Again, the media reports what it is told by police and witnesses. If any of the bikers want to speak, the media would love to get them on camera.

Yeah!! Like the big bust against bikers by the HPD back in the mid 2000's. I think it was 2005 when they raid the JCI and took everybody to jail! I was there that night but left before the Cops show up.

WHy? People get stabbed and shot at bars all the time. Do they suspend all their licenses? Or are they just another government agency that wants to flex and act outside their scope? Surely there's some college kids that need harassing somewhere.

They are charged with paticipating in organized crime. Which is pretty hard to deny at this point..

I posted an entire story that answered your question. Let me pull some quotes just for you.

Restaurant’s Alcohol Sales Suspended

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Monday announced it is suspending alcohol sales at the restaurant for seven days because of the shooting.

State law allows the agency to suspend a business license to sell alcohol after a shooting, stabbing or murder on premises that’s likely to result in subsequent leadership.

“Any wrongdoing uncovered during the investigation could result in further action against the restaurant, including monetary fines, further suspension, or cancellation of its TABC license to sell alcohol,” the agency said in a press release Monday.

“Our investigators will continue to work with the Waco Police Department to collect statements from any party involved, especially the restaurant staff,” said Maj. Victor Kuykendoll, TABC District 2 Regional Commander.

“We will continue to investigate the operations of the restaurant to determine if they failed to properly manage the folks on the premises and enabled this event to take place.”

The Harker Heights Twin Peaks restaurant has the same owner as the Waco restaurant, the TABC confirmed Monday, but the license suspension will not affect the Harker Heights operation.

The restaurant will be allowed to resume normal operations after seven days, pending the results of the investigation, which could take several weeks to complete.

Once police clear the crime scene the restaurant could resume food sales, but Swanton said Monday he hopes the owners will allow for a cooling-off period and will keep the business closed for the immediate future.

Not sure what that has to do with TABC.

It still just feels like a bullshit organization trying to get their jabs in and be relevant. I wonder if parking enforcement will be out there writing tickets for illegally parked motorcycles. Maybe the fire marshals will come write them tickets for code violations while they're at it.

State law allows the agency to suspend a business license to sell alcohol after a shooting, stabbing or murder on premises that’s likely to result in subsequent (leadership.) "Leadership" has to be an autocorrect for some other word.

This could have happened at any bar or hangout for that matter.
Playing Devil's advocate: Scenario is you own a breastaraunt. Your name is Patel. You are obviously Indian in background, or adopted. Bikers, the real rough kind, come to eat and spew filth through missing teeth. probably talk to you cause you are not white. Every week. Then they decide to have a COC meeting at your place. What do you say? NO, Mr. Big Angry Biker! You're not welcome here?

Says his corporate mgmt: Twin Peaks spokesman Rick Van Warner in a statement. "We will not tolerate the actions of this relatively new franchisee and are immediately revoking their franchise agreement. Our sympathies continue to be with the families of those who died and are very thankful no employees, guests, police officers or bystanders were hurt or injured."

Says right there, no guests were hurt or injured. So what does that make the 9 who died? Unwelcome? Not guests? Not bystanders.

I am just amazed at all the finger pointing towards Twin Peaks like it is their fault in any way. this liberal bullshit. Fault lies with the who had a meeting of at a restaurant in the middle of suburbia in the middle of the day, weapons toted, colors flying. With 20 cops and SWAT posted up outside they still didn't have the self control to keep things civil.

I would say most likely the dead were shot by police. 1 picture I saw looked like a guy was trying to ride away and was killed. His bike was layed over with him next to it. If you have ever ridden a bike you know it would be hard to take off from a stop and shot a gun at the same time.
