From what I've been reading Twin Peaks knew of the dangers involved, yet was adamant on hosting this meeting. I can't find more information on why they told the police to go away. Perhaps those involved making the decision for the restaurant are members of some of the MC gangs?

Jay Patel is the owner/operator. The buck stops with him.

TABC has shut down that TP location for the time being. They are gonna lose their in laws suits for not doing enough to protect the public from a known threat. They were warned this could happen

LOL at the picture of the guy in the center of the picture on his phone... Probably texting his wife saying, I don't think I'll be home for dinner... I'm in trouble. she's now cussing his biker friends saying how she knew they were all bad eggs.

I'll bet the manager doesn't make that mistake again.
Im betting they were afraid to enact a no colors policy

Big difference between a "no colors" policy and promoting MC events. Twin Peaks restaurants in general are biker friendly, but I wouldn't categorize them as MC hangouts

May 18, 2015) The Twin Peaks corporate office Monday revoked the franchise of the Waco restaurant where a shootout between rival biker gangs Sunday left nine dead, 18 injured and more than 165 in custody.

“We are in the people business and the safety of the employees and guests in our restaurants is priority one,” the company said.

“Unfortunately the management team of the franchised restaurant in Waco chose to ignore the warnings and advice from both the police and our company, and did not uphold the high security standards we have in place to ensure everyone is safe at our restaurants.

“We will not tolerate the actions of this relatively new franchisee and are revoking their franchise agreement immediately. Our sympathies continue to be with the families of those who died and are very thankful no employees, guests, police officers or bystanders were hurt or injured,” the statement said
