Man I'm here in South Carolina and had some "real" BBQ with some local clients and have to say it's a little different than what we have in TX. Mustard based pork, weird mac and cheesse, tiny little red bean, shrimp fried rice without being fried

I prefer our BBQ but hey still worth trying and pretty good.

Yeah BBQ in the South has many varieties..Texas BBQ is just one of them.
I used some mustard/honey combinations before when BBQ'ing
