Update on serious NW200 Superstock incident
NW200 Superstock race cancelled due to an incident involving a spectator and two riders
A FEMALE spectator and rider Stephen Thompson remain critical following an incident in Saturday's opening Superstock race at the North West 200.
Two riders, Horst Saiger and Thompson, along with a female spectator were involved in a incident on the second lap of the Superstock race between York corner and Mill Road Roundabout.
The female spectator was airlifted to the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast. Thompson was transferred to the same hospital. In an update issued today, both the spectator and Thompson are said to be 'in a critical, but stable condition'.
Saiger was taken to Causeway hospital and is believed to have only minor injuries.
More updates when available.
