More British Goodness

Well, the weather wasn't great, but dry enough to put the first 100 or so miles on my '14 Street Triple R yesterday. Snapped a couple of pics while I was out. It is killing me to keep this thing under 6k RPM with how good it sounds. So thoroughly pleased with it. I'm coming from a Ninja 300, which was my first bike, that I bought about a year ago. It was a blast for sure and I loved learned on it, but it was not exactly confidence inspiring and it was definitely a dog on the freeway. This Street Triple feels like it's on rails in comparison. Only downside is that I'm used to flat-footing it on the 300 and this Street Triple has my 5'9" self on my toes. It's pretty uncomfortable to try to back the bike up while sitting on it because of this. Small gripe I guess. Looking forward to putting it through the paces in the twisties soon! Thanks to everyone that I've ridden with in the past year that has helped me learn about motorcycles and learn how to ride!

Wow, yeah. I moved over to the Tuscan Lakes area late last year and I'm still very unfamiliar with the surroundings. Figured I'd go map it out some seeing as I can't run the bike hard anyway. Thought some of those roads around the school would take me somewhere other than the school parking lot. Those houses in MarBella are nice!! Gonna have to pick up some fliers next time.

Aww! I wasn't paying super close attention but yeah I saw what looked like a kiddo had fallen of a bicycle. I would've gladly stopped to talk to him.

I recommend to do a hard break in. Puts a better seal on the rings. Just saying

I've seen people say this before, but... Why would the manufacturer not recommend that if it were true? I'm not going strictly by the book, but I'm not out there beating on it, either.

So people aren't on the street with fresh slick tires haulin and killing themselves and then blaming it on the bike manual.
