You are correct. What they are doing is changing them up a bit and regestering them under experimental tags. They are NOT driving them off the lot registered by a dealer. There is legislation going on in this matter. They are trying to put them under an "auto cycle" catagory because it has seats, it can't be called motorcycle. If they changed the laws under the motorcycle catagory it would cause more problems than help. We will see, but one thing is for sure, it isn't a motorcycle, and it won't ever fall in that catagory in Texas.

Something that slow should never be considered a motorcycle anyway

I agree, anything with 3 wheels is for pansies. Disabled or not considering I'm disabled I get asked why I don't get a 3 wheeler. The reason is if I'm going to by something like that, I'd prefer a convertible over anything with 3 wheels. You can't expect to rail on anything with 3 wheels. A car, Miata or S2000 etc would be much more fun than that thing and faster! That's why I have a GTR. Closest thing there is to a motorcycle to me.

You realize the thread is about something that is basically a car..?

There was a little side-bar about the spyders but for the most part I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind cares what vehicle you choose.
