Finding Previous Owner's Name

About 2 years ago, my wife bought me a sort of nostalgic (read: old and not really a) motorcycle as a surprise. Donít get it excited, itís nothing spectacular, just a Honda CT110. Unfortunately, she didnít get a title nor obtain any bill of sale. I have it running well enough that I can bomb around the neighborhood, and would like to make it legal. Is there a resource I can use to locate the previous owner?

The bike has expired plates so at some point it was registered in Texas, but I donít see anything on the DPS website indicating the previous ownerís name is available via public record.

In case itís helpful the VIN is JD010XBS104050

Thanks

I would think that your local county tax office could find that info with the plate and VIN. Have you paid them a visit?

Haven't visited the tax office yet. I'll try them.

I didn't know carfax worked for bikes, good to know!

Thanks
