Nicky had 4th... Giberneau had 5th...

I think Nicky is going to do awesome this race. I have a feeling he's going to be top 3 if not top 2. I think Colin is going to have a strong showing as well. Nicky just has so much more experience at Laguna, so I think he's better positioned to win. Has Rossi ever even been to Laguna?

colin has a good bit of exp there too. I really wish some american rider would get a one off race to race there. maybe ben spies mat mladin or aaron yates on a suzuki. or maybe tommy hayden on a kawasaki. or maybe disalvo on a yamaha. or maybe zemke on a honda.

Re: great moto gp race

its rumor on Colin Edwards forum that mladin may be a wildcard rider in the motogp,, but will not fare well due to the bike set up,, i hope to see one of the americans on the podium, Rossi has never been to LS but, he'll do well, he can adapt to any track,, i bet he'll win it, look the China track where Rossi won it,, that was a new track to everyone, but Hayden and Edwards have the advantage for this race. I'm thinking it'll be Rossi, Hayden, and then Edwards... Colin has showed alot of improvement over the last few races but, I think Nicky might take him as long as he doesnt crash, colin said that he was at his absolute limit in yesterdays race and look how far behind melandri he was, that was lot of distance between 2nd and 3rd.. so it'll be tough,, Melandri might get a podium finish,,.,

The thing to remember about your limit is that its different at each track and with each bikes set up... Melandri's set up may have been absolutely perfect for him and it might have been a bit off for Colin. That being said, I think Melandri has a bit more potential but I think Colin's the better rider. Don't forget, Colin has been on GP bikes for 3 years and Melandri has been on GP bikes for lots longer.

but melandri's gp exp. is with 125 and 250 2 strokes. if they were still racing 500 he would have a big upper hand but they are racing four strokes now which is a totally diffrent monster.

Re: great moto gp race

colin mentioned that his bike had a great set up for the race, he kept up good but, the last 3 laps Rossi and Melandri left the rest of the field,, those two are very fast,

and i want to know what happened to sete, something was wrong yesterday, he's usually up in front,, maybe he wasnt comfy with his set up or something???

Re: great moto gp race

From the mouth of Sete...

“That was one of the worst races we’ve had recently. We didn’t do badly in practice despite the way the weekend started, but I couldn’t do any more than that in the race,” commented the Spaniard. “I almost crashed on several occasions and, luckily, we were able to finish but I can’t hide that I am tremendously dissatisfied. I hope to turn the situation around in Laguna Seca.”

Re: great moto gp race

I think they said in the commentary that Gibby had had a migraine and completely missed a practice due to it. So that could have affected him in a small way. He wouldnt of won, but perhaps wouldnt have owned by nicky and the others as much,
