Pit biking?

Not talking about actually just riding around in pits...i used to race pit bikes back in VA, had an Xtreme 125 pro bored to a 147cc, fully built. Loved it, sold it to move here and have regretted buying all sorts of other things before another pit bike lol.

dunno how many of you, if any, have built pit bikes (dirt setup) and where you ride them. Three Palms has a pretty sweet pit bike track, wouldnt mind tearing that up with some friends in the future. Really getting to the point that im like...fk. i need another one.

Have you ever tried a full sized bike on a motocross track!? So much more fun and you don't have to worry about roosting little kids on their minis.

I wouldn't mind building another klx110. It's just been a while. And I do have a crf450. The minis were always more fun in my mind

I have pit bikes but most are motards. The 2 that are still in dirt trim, I'm on the fence about mo trading those.

minis definitely are a blast. its hard to explain to people who havent really gotten crazy on one in the dirt lol.

Im looking into the Orion models (orionpitbikesales.com) basically the 125/160cc klx110 clones. they actually hosted a XC series for pit bikes back home and ive ridden a few of them and was thoroughly impressed. Nothing is going to be as good as KLX built with top shelf stuff, but i cant justify spending 3500-5k on a pit bike lol. they have a really good reputation and as long as you maintain things they last a bit longer..

cant blame you for tarding them. having two sets of wheels would be a must for me.

Yeah, they really are. the chinese bikes have came a long way and there is parts everywhere if you know what youre looking at/working with. most of them are basically the same hting nowadays between orion/ssr/pitster pro. They are having some sales to push old models, stuff slashed from 1100 to 550-600 bucks lol. I have a crf50 i could start with, but, i really like the 110's more. they are longer and more comfortable to beat on.

link us to some current sales. I've been a Pitster Pro fan since the days I was riding a build KLX110 in dirt and motard trim. . .

hop on the orion pit bike sales website www.orionpitbikesales.com

they have decent reviews, and like i said i rode them a bit when i still lived in VA. i was going to buy one until my sponsor sold me his xtreme, which was a demo bike for the dealer...he dumped so much cash into it and i couldnt turn it down for the price he wanted. and that was an awesome little bike, Guy Cooper had a lot of say in what parts were used. but they dont make them anymore....

the OPBS keeps stuff in stock and has a good rating with the BBB.

if your a pitster/ssr fan, i think youd be happy with some of the better models OPBS has. they dont have BBR stuff but they do have common engines/trans not some RANDOM chinese bullshit. the suspension and frames are decent too. always room for improvement thoguh
