it looked so horrible to me that i almost passed clean out. the nurses had to get me a chair b/c i was about to fall out. Dr. said it's looking and doing really good. just need to hit some P/T now. even sitting here thinking about it makes me lightheaded and queazy...

Seriously look into hydrotherapy. Just get a showerhead and pulsate water on it 10 min 2 - 3 times a day. Trust me, it will look much better.

doc. says do not soak it in water yet b/c the tissue (skin) is still trying to heal itself.

hydrotherapy is not soaking in water, it is a method to soften the dead (white and black) tissue and to increase circulation to encourage growth of new cells.

I used to be a vet tech and we used it on plenty of open wounds even. I also had a foster horse about a year ago who was blind on the left side and ran full force into a tree, he had a two inch gauge opening in the face. I got him all fixed up with rough stitches and within six weeks, you didn't even see a scar. The hair grew back and it looked just fine.

It is a great method to use and she'll thank you later.
