Looks like Drifters is open again... Anyone been?

Never stopped there, I had heard it could be a little rough. What's the story?

Define rough? I mean, I've never heard any stories about those bikers for Christ riders getting out of hand. That place was always a stop for us and never had any problems. Heck, it still is even when it was closed, lol.

We stopped there the first year it opened because it was raining. The power was out and we were the only "customers" so they gave offered us a free drink.

I happened upon it once, and stopped in on my Daytona 675. They all looked at me funny, and no one spoke to me. Felt kinda unwelcome, so I went in, took a wiz, and left.

You're too kind, rough is an understatement. Same could be said for any biker bar though. Lol

Been there plenty of times and have never seen a true 1%'er. Plenty of weekend riders dressing the part in pirate costumes though. The food truck serving there before was not too bad. Worth a stop if hungry or thirsty and sometimes the band playing was not half bad.

Stop everytime I get a chance. New owner is a nice guy. I have never been there and not had anyone talk to me. Have people ask about the bike all the time. And as far as just weekend worriors being there, I have met some pretty cool guys there and later find out they are pretty high up on the food chain in some major gangs, but you would never know it by just bullshitting with them.

It is an OK place. New owner trying to make it go so give him some business. I love watching the people in all the Harley gear. Bands tend ro get a little too loud, can not carry a conversation at all. The women there try to be more than they are. I ride my two stroke there and if it is not a Harley no one cares. There are a few guys on sport bikes that I see there occasionally. I did get a piece of history though. I donated money to the local volunteer fire department for the little bike that hung from the sign out front. Just got my pull starter this week.
