Have you seen the signs all over 290 where all the locals say no?

The locals do not want a race track. Signs are all over the place, kind of like the landfill one. Sometimes they are side by side.

Ain't never gonna get a track in that area. Too much money and power out there.
Those people didn't buy land in one of the prettiest parts of the state to listen to race cars and put up with traffic.

I would be if they built that thing near my ranch. They built an oval dirt track by my friends ranch in pleasanton. Used to hear nothing but crickets at night and now you can see the stadium lighting and hear the cars racing at night all weekend. Pretty much ruined the whole vibe of his place.

They're not going to be running at night.

Heh...looks like Bluebonnet would be enforcing exhaust restrictions.

Quote:
I have an Caddilac CTSV that has factory exaust (1) and emits low sound levels. I can put an aftermarket cat back system (2) to make it sound meatier and while louder it will still be friendly. I could put a cutout (3) or even straight pipe system (4) on it and this car would be obnoxious.
Now let's say I took this series of cars to TWS (Texas World Speedway) all 4 cars would be permitted to go on track as there are no noise restraints in place.
Yet even without any sound restrictions some of the most expensive homes in College Station have developed into a golf course and subdivision less than a mile away. With all the land in four directions available the intentionally built the golf course and the exclusive subdivision next door to the track. This obviously increased the value of the land and shows the impact, again WITHOUT restrictions.
Now take that same set of cars to Bluebonnet car 1 would pass inspection, and it's likely 2 woud as well.
Car 3 woud fail, and car 4 would never even be allowed to test as they have straight pipes.
So following this same reasoning cars that run loud at one track run quieter at another depending on the individual track sound level requirements. It's simply a matter or adjusting, or in some cases adding a Muffler. These will be required at Bluebonnet period.
