I'm 99% in, weather forecast says 82 degrees and overcast. If you haven't done this before, DO IT!

Super 8 Kerville rates are $80 per night (plus taxes and bullshit no doubt) for a 2 bed room as of today, I want to stay Fri and Sat night. I've done this ride before and running it and going back the same day is work, you are talking about 500m using I10 - that's Katy, Kerville, Leakey, 3 Sisters and return. Last time I ran the return trip at a 62 mph average from Camp Wood (300 miles) to Fulshear with 2 fuel stops but that's pushing along quite hard. So I'm looking for a room-mate for the 2 nights. Your outlay for the weekend is $80+TT&L, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, fuel and snacks. Any takers?

If anyone is interested in hooking up and riding from the Katy area, get in touch. Prefer to stay off of I10 as far as practical. I will be riding in the daylight, hitting Bambi at twilight is not a good idea (RIP written off Silverado 6 hours after I picked it up from the dealer).

Motel has a pool and free breakfast for those nights. Words of advice:

*Treat the 3 Sisters route with respect, always assume that there's something around that blind corner - could be a dead animal, Harley rider, rock fall, hiker, whatever. I guarantee you will not have braking room.
*Brakes and tires need to be in good shape.
*Treat other road users with respect (yes, even the Harley riders).
*DO NOT CROSS THE CENTER LINE.
*Choose a gear for climbing or descend and try to stick pretty much with that.
*You will need to fuel up at the Leakey and once more part way thru' unless you have a big tank or something.
*Hydrate
*If you eat lunch or breakfast eat light - if you have a big meal and a big wreck your body's natural instinct is to puke it up and if it lodges in your throat you will choke to death. That's why racers never eat big before a race, not because it makes them tired.

I'll bring a plastic container to consume hootch by the pool, not good form to be cracking open the scotch in public. I'll also be bringing tubeless repair kit, some tools and a first aid kit, I'm a qualified tech and I know my first-aid. Wear good riding gear and make sure the bike is fully serviceable, I draw the line at roadside re-bores or scraping you off the pavement because you were dumb enough to wear sneakers and shorts. I'll have Sena comms for bike to bike and cell. Suggest we sinc and exchange #'s at the pre-ride. Don't forget your chargers.

PS - If anyone is interested in going to the Barber Vintage Festival (Oct 9 -11) get in touch, it's a must do if only for the museum.

What part of town do you live in? I'm considering just riding as well.

I live in spring but I won't be able to make it anymore my family had previously made plans with my time I was unaware of.

Hopefully this ride is done again later on so I can go, it looks like a blast

We will be trailering in to Kerrville..I've done that ride before and my Duc is not that comfy. Ether way for those that ride in or trailer in it will be a blast.

Were having a meeting tomorrow night (5/20) at Bone Daddys Webster at 8pm to go over travel arrangements and such if you can make it. Please come out and join us if you can make it.

We will also have a ride meeting before the ride to go over all safety rules. We have been riding this route for the past 10 years.

Lets have a great ride!!

We're going to meet at bone daddy's tomorrow at 8 because we already have people meeting us there.

If you can't make it, we can do a central meet next week.
