So sorry. Dont doubt yourself. Do something that refreshes your thoughts. Put something positive in its place.
Its not so much as those who are gone, more to try not to let their passing be not forgotten. The next person is the next person who will get the message
"I get a total charge out of inspiring others to follow their dreams and not to fear change. Embrace it. Realize that money isn't the end-all, be-all. What is important, what really has value, is Time. As motorcyclists, we all face increased risks on the road, and on the track. Do something with your time; don't have a bag full of regrets when the train comes to a stop. "

Laurie, there is nothing you could've said to her that would've changed her mind about how she rode. She was old enough to know what she was doing and her friends' pressure would've been to much for you alone to fight against it. It could've only worked, Laurie, if you had time to let it sink into her slowly by making a friend and talking about riding safer constantly. You didn't have that time and this was simply out of your control. I think you reacted correct and didn't overstep your boundaries and made her completely resent your comments, possibly.

The sad thing about the whole thing is that her friends apparently thought and felt the way she did and considering that the accident was truly accidental and not necessarily something caused by bad behavior, they probably won't change their mind now either. They most likely now have the attitude that no matter how you ride, there will always be a risk which is true but not to the extent of what you and I are talking about compared to what they are talking about.

Try to focus your energy on how you can use this girl's lack of following her inner instincts in your class (indirect of course) in the future. Maybe not this semester, but next. Overall, it wasn't your instinct that failed but hers, even though it didn't cause her passing in the end.

I just want to say that there is nothing you could have said to make someone else change their habits. You did the best you could as her instructor. Rip.
