Jeez, just more proof, that no matter what you do, how much gear you put on, how defensively you ride, something can kill you. , that could've just as easily gone through a windshield. (NOTE: Don't read this as me saying it's not worth it to wear gear.)

Wonder if he had his visor down if it would have deflected any. I'm sure that made his pee a little

jesus that's terrifying. I can only imagine how the guy felt when the rebar hit him. And I thought a rock getting kicked up onto my helmet was bad

I can't stand riding with visor up... not even cracked open a tiny bit. When I do flip it up at a stop, it gets slammed back shut before 2nd gear.

Not keen on getting whopped by a bee, much less a piece of steel rebar.

In case yall missed it. The news guy said " if it had been a little to the left it would've gotten an eye." If you take a look any more left it would have missed him. Dumbass

Well, if you're facing the helmet then a little to the left would be accurate

They should always talk in terms of the persons anatomical left or right. That's how we do it in medicine.. its always the patients left or right. Not ours when we are facing them.

I'm thinking the visor may have deflected the re-bar if it had been down. Bet he ruined a helmet and a pair of pants that day!!!!

Plus in TV and film it would be screen left if the camera is facing the helmet
