Smile noob need some help wit my bike

hey m/h i have a 01 r6 and was riding to westheimer on friday at about 120 mph when all a sudden my bike started to die on me i ahd to pull over on the ramp and push that 2 miles off to the next exit. any who thought it was maybe the battery got loose or sumtin, took it to a guy he said the cables were loose so tighten did that went 6 mile down the road bought gas and tried to start it and nutin. then the guy told me it was the voltage regulator never heard of that woderin if any 1 else had the same prob, any advice? holla back

It could be ur voltage regulator or ur stator. it would be easier and quicker to check ur volt reg.

It's probably your regulator / rectifier. Pretty common on the R6. Check the plug going to it as well, it's probably melted.

What is it with the Yamaha R6, the Honda F series and CBR series. They all seem to melt the R/R wires. I know the causes but you would think that the engineers would figure it out by now that the connectors get dirty over time. All they need to do is make it a booted connection to keep the resisence down.

got it fixed it was the voltage regulator, lot of people told me it was a common prob for yamahas appreciate all the advice guys thanks
