No fans? No problem: Orioles, White Sox play game in empty stadium
In an unprecedented move because of the Baltimore riots, Wednesday's game between the Orioles and the Chicago White Sox was closed to the public.
A game with an empty stadium made for some awkward moments. Some players described it as "weird."
"You can't compare it to anything. It was definitely weird. It was quiet, there's nothing going on. You hear everything. The atmosphere, it's just not how baseball is (supposed) to be played," White Sox second baseman Micah Johnson said.
A couple of players made the best of the "weird" game.
Orioles first baseman Chris Davis threw the ball into the stands, and Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph signed autographs for imaginary fans.
Some people found a way to cheer on their home team from outside the stadium.
The Orioles beat the White Sox 8-2.
