Post 05 yzf r6 issue

i rode to get a haircut, and when i started my bike up again i had a check engine light. went to the atm to get some money, cut it off and it wouldn't start back up, my buddy came and helped me roll started, and made it back home!


has anyone had an issue like this before?

battery was reading 12v

Man that usually is the sign of a dead battery. Might have a bad cell. What do the volts go to when you hit the start button. I would also double check all connections.

Wow they came down to 5.2 could that be my issue? It's on 12 volts if it's just sitting there but after I hit that switch they came down

yup battery is toast. May need to check your charging system as well. That may be what killed the battery.

Bike not running: 12.87

Bike running at idle: 14.2 -3

Bike being revved approx 5000 rpm: 14.36

This is what your voltages should be with a good battery.
