To those who were RUDE And for anyone who cursed Chris out you better be glad you weren't in my hearing distance! You better THINK about this! You get to ENJOY this SITE for free!! If you find another one like this JOIN it and STAY the F**@ off this ONE!! Also if you were any of the ones acting like an A$$ to Chris or HIS wife then you never made it out to the previous BBQ which went off without a hitch! I came out to just meet everyone and put faces to names. The $5 you so called paid, you should want to give that to Chris for having this site and maintaining it for us You UNGRATEFUL A$$!!! I think Chris should have a link to a donation box for those who really want to help when they can, that way we could just paypal a small donation whenever we want. Some on here may not have funds to donate but they offer their time or services and that a Big donation in itself! Sorry for being so long winded but I can't sit back and Reading Chris or his wife saying their Sorry when they have NOTHING to be Sorry FOR!!

^^AGREED!

I for one had almost no idea there had been any hitch in the plans. Sure the line for BBQ was kinda long, but I figured as much. I mean, it wasnt a food event, it was a MOTO event.

I went to the head of the line to buy tickets from Courtney before I noticed that everyone at the food booth was working so hard for us to have some food.
So I bought 4 tickets, gave Courtney my $$ and walked away with a soda and a smile on my face. I figured Im chubby enough that I could miss a meal without any harm! I just wanted to do the tiniest little thing I could to make it easier.
I didnt consider the $5 per ticket paying for the food, I fiugred the $5 per ticket was a DONATION, and you got food because Chris and Courtney and those Bipolar folks are nice enough to feed all of us.

As for the rudness...man chris, I dont even know you personally. I have only spoked with you over the forums and PMs, but Im with RacerX on this one, had I seen anyone getting in your face, throwing tickets at you, or cursing...Im not sure what I would have done.
I just dont feel that "rude" is a strong enough word for how f***** up that is!!!!

Anyway, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PUT IN THE WORK TO MAKE THIS EVENT HAPPEN!
Im sure alot of those people busting behind the BBQ pits, serving food, etc. showed up thinking they were there for the party, but were happy to pitch in and help.

As soon as chris get's up a paypal account, I got $150.00 with his name on it.....

And i'm serious on that. I wished people could of been alot more respectful of what he threw together and something I really, really, wanted to go to. Sorry chris that you had a few bad apples, but lemme know when and where I can donate the money. I know what it's like to spend alot of money.....:eh:

Next time we do one of these, we need to have name tags with our screen names. I ended up meeting a lot of people, but there were a lot more that I wish I knew who they were.

Anyone who wants to send donations can send it to either:

paypal@motohouston.com or chris@motohouston.com

I couldn't make it because someone had to run the show back at the shop. :BangHead:

My crew that was there said it was a good turn out and everything went well, no drama, lot's of camaraderie and lot's of things to look at or do.

Anyone who really expected a sit down BBQ was a fool. The idea is to have a gathering, not free food.

Next year maybe we should just do an MH picnic, that way everyone can have a little fun, and Chris and company don't need to stay up all night cooking because someone flaked.

I just think there were so many people buying tickets that were not motohouston that it was bound to happen when people got upset, I think the only reason things turned bad was the location. Don't me wrong the place was amazing but there were so many people buying tickets that had no clue who we were they were the one's getting upset when things turned south. I say next year if we want a track day to do it first, then have the actual BBQ in a Park somewhere like we did in '05 and just let Doug from BCW cater like he offered or something else. just my 2cts

Roger,
I don't think many tickets were actually "sold".
At the shop, every ticket we gave out was to an MH member or someone that was picking them up for an MH member (yes we checked for user i.d.'s)

Regardless, the MH community has grown a lot since the first get together, and I think that trying to feed everyone will become an increasingly difficult task.

This really isn't the time or place to discuss planning for next year though, so I'll drop the subject for the time being.

I agree with Patrick the picnic idea is great one! That way Chris and Courtney do not have so much to deal with!

Overall it was a great day! We got to ride some and we got to hang out with some great people! What More could you ask for!

Again THANKS to Chris and Courtney! Buck and crew and to ALL the MH folks who made it such a great day!
