Talking New paint

This is the first time I've ever had a bike re-painted with anything other than rattle cans, and I can't wait to get it together.

Sneak peek...

I can't wait to see the whole bike assembled. I've always been a fan of those stripes on a bike. Simple

Naked Triumph Sprint, will be getting a matched Tiger 1050 belly pan. Should have parts in-hand in about 10 min.

Like this----

I also just bought a 2013 R1. I want to do something similar.

Love those stripes.

I was hoping to have started re-assembly last night, but instead my son talked me into taking him to the Cub Scout recruitment thing. Looks like we're starting Cub Scouts. Should be fun. I'll start getting the bike back together this evening and get some pics.

Bike's not quite done, but getting there. The paint is FAR from perfect, but for a daily rider I'm not going to complain.

I used another forum member's services, and PPG paint. Thinking it's time for me to invest in a little larger air compressor and a paint gun for myself though. OCD is a when you're paying someone else to do work for you.

LOL... once you start shooting auto paint, you might think the way I do. To me, it's like wiping ... I wouldn't let anybody but me wipe mine, and you couldn't possibility pay me enough to wipe yours.

BTW, PPG DBU and DBC are good stuff. Pricey, but good.

...and this is why OCD me off. At about 5', the bike looks perfect. Then I start looking...

Little dimples like this, scattered about
2b18a4f5ec4bdb7316de4bda77ad0fc6

little bit of bleed on the stripe
a7ab78d7f6bd8412e92e9c87dfd71a13

My finger is where the center should be
4eba9cb92651641197e2df433ed84623

jagged edges on the stripes in various places (this is actually 3-for-1: dimples, jagged edges, AND some bleed)
9a2b475ce94a6d01e28575f486c7f9e8

Stripe on the tail is actually centered... I think my exhaust (and/or subframe) may be tweeked... I've been considering a GP-style low exit exhaust anyway.
e52a96af2db24a8ca686548aee0962f6

Gah, so many little things catching my attention now. Should've just done matte black and never wash it again.
