New Guy

Hi, I'm a student and aspiring photographer trying to learn more about motorcycles as a more efficient means of transportation. Currently driving a Nissan and looking to learn more from the forum.

Thanks! Currently studying at LoneStar for nursing. Aspiring to finish at TWU, UTMB, or PVAMU but saving up for the moment.

I actually saw a motohouston sticker on a customer's bike at the store and decided to check it out. My friends James and Ray ride, but I figure there'd be enough information here for a bit before I bother them about trivial questions.

Welcome.

I just ride around in circles and burn a lot of expensive fuel.
Don't think I would be much help with your study of the efficiency of a bike.
I can be a good example of what not to do though.

If you get a bike, please go to a quality MSF class (such as Awesome Cycles) and attend your first trackday soon after that. Don't be a statistic.

Trackdays save lives.
Ride Safe.... RideSmart

Looking forward to doing so after my business trip to PR, I don't feel adequate enough to just hop on a motorcycle and zip about Houston in a comfortable manner anyhow. For now, I'll be lurking around the safety corner and waiting to get a good deal on a decent starter bike. Hopefully going on a ride in a short while. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

A close friend actually spoke highly of your program before I had seen your post on the thread so I will definitely take you up on that. Very much looking forward to taking the course!
