Wow his injuries were minimal for what looked like a pretty bad wipe out! He was very fortunate! Hope they catch that who took off...

Legitimate question. What would you have done in his position?

When confronting danger, jimrad always wheelies.

The dude that crashed could have just held his line

Yeah, don't see any fault at the rider that crashed. If oncoming traffic is coming at you in your lane, it's hard to hold your line.

The other rider will likely crash soon.

Been in that position several times. With a few trucks, deer, other bikes.. I have swerved to avoid them, not look for a bigger and harder object to hit. Looked like he had room to recover, but I might be wrong..camera distortion might show things out of proportion.

He may have pulled that front brake a little too much, but it's hard not to react like that.

I think most of us would have crashed trying to avoid some idiot coming head-on in your lane.

Lane splitting is all I see. Since is legal in California I don't see any wrong doing here. Move on...

Except for the fact that it isn't lane splitting. Or the fact that it isn't necessarily "legal" in CA either. Valiant effort though!
