I've spoken with my rep and was told we should have full details sometime Tuesday next week; replacement tires availability, etc.

Michelin will be taking care of mount and balance fees as well as the tire replacement.

You can bring them to ANY Michelin retailer for the warranty once the program has been put in place.
I do not anticipate any further info on it this weekend, but will post up as soon as I know something.

Be assured that I will be following this very closely.

Candy I have a track day tomorrow also, but who knows if our tires are in the recall.

This will be my 4th trackday on them so I would imagine I have nothing to worry about really! But it will still be in the back of my mind!

Just last week I was deciding between those and the Diablo Coras 3's.

Good thing I went with the Pirellis!

well they haven't had any accidents yet, yall should be fine...but i do wonder if they are gonna cover the take off and reinstallation or what...and if they are going to cover/replace even a worn down tire...cuz that would be excellent

i wonder how they are going to deal with the customers investment in the labor for the mount and balance.

you can expect a customer to ride on a bunk tire, so even if they give you a free fresh tire to replace your worn out one, you still have to get it mounted and balanced.

...michelin could be out some serious dough, or have some unhappy customers...

I have only ridden on the track with mine, so no flat spot here! The edges however are all wore out!

At this point we are waiting on info from Michelin on the D.O.T. codes.
The last tire recall I was involved in was some years ago, they paid for a new tire and installation.

I'll keep everyone posted.
