ISO bike that runs

I'm looking for a bike that works and runs that's fairly cheap. I'm okay with fixing up and working on it but I have yet to buy my first bike and am having a hard time getting one because of money but that's why I'm looking for a fixer upper that is still reliable. Thanks for all the help and advice. Eventually I want a newer model sport bike like a ninja 300 but for now I'm okay with a cruiser.

If you're having a tough time putting the money together you might want to take a step back and really calculate your total cost of ownership. Bike, registration, insurance, riding gear, MSF (mandatory if your don't have your motorcycle license), maintenance.
I made the mistake on my first bike that i just set my goal financially of getting the bike bought, not all the expenses that come with it.

I know. I have all that taken care of minus insurance obviously I just can't dish out thousands for a new or perfect condition bike. I kinda wanna work on one and build up my knowledge and what not but also one that I can drive as soon as possible as well

I know it's in Austin, but a good choice if you are inclined to a cruiser.
