Speaking of comfort. does anyone know how to add more padding to the seat to raise the seat height more?

no prob. i know our other conversation about the grom height, we didn't see eye to eye. but i'm glad i went my route. my gf can take her time learning and not be pressured to move on to the next lesson after 30-45 mins.

Comfort has many different facets. Exactly what "discomfort" are you trying to address?

Numb
Lower back pain
Neck pains
Knee bend too tight
Sore wrists

If you just need more seat height, a quick and relatively inexpensive way to try out is Air Hawk.

My hips start hurting. I was looking at http://cycle-ergo.com/ and assume a higher seat height would fix the pitch in my hips and maybe relieve some tension just all through out. I'm comparing the dimensions to a bmws1000rr cause that bike was super comfortable

Dunno what yr ZX6R you have, but there isn't a whole lot of difference in rider geometry compared to S1000RR. Are you a tall guy with long legs? If your hips are hurting, raising the seat might help, but lowering the pegs will also lessen your hip angle.

Then again, the shape of the seat or even the type of seat covering can make a noticeable difference. Before you start buying parts, try different postures and riding positions to see if you can identify what exactly is the causing the problem.

I'm 5'10'' with very thick thighs. My legs cramp and hips sore. I haven't found a rear set that will go down 1 or so inches so I figured the seat is the best easy option... If I can find one
