I thought about tearing into the speedo to see if it was the reason for the speedo cable to snap. But then my laziness kicked in and I just mount a cell phone and use an app for speed.

could be a ground. Disenage the clutch sensor (unscrew it) by the left clutch lever.

OH! That cant be it then. I do not have a sensor at the lever. I thought maybe you were referring to something down by the clutch. I am going to look it up the intended setup at http://fichefinder.ktm.com/?lang=en
