By EBR no... great bike for me, timing and economic circumstances just didn't let it thrive. Sucks for me yes but much more for a 127 non millionaires who have to meet the bills this week and no gig to make it with.

I don't know that I would want to buy one NOW... EBR didn't do but a few service bulletins. The rest were updates to be done at first major service or as prep for sale. Any issues with set up of the ECU and the bike itself normally cropped up as warranty work within the first 600 miles. If you want to buy "as is" great, but I'm sitting on a bike with 13 months of warranty support that fixed all the inevitable niggles. I still have 11 months of warranty support SOMEBODY needs to either honor or compensate me for. "As is" is well... as is.

I do have a few spares and the bike is super easy to work on, but there are more than a few OEM only parts that I'll now need to source. Namely front sprockets and dampners, rear sprockets and the price of the plactics may as well be unobtanium. So don't drop it. Race ECU's will also hard to come by now.

Knowing what I know now if I had a reliable source on those items, I would still buy one today only if all the updates have been done. Trouble is getting the update parts may be trouble now. I'm fortunate in that I bought early and rode the bike hard and got things fixed. The guys picking up old bikes with just dealer floor time on the clocks may not be so lucky.

Warranty repairs- ECU, Body work, bodywork( torque specs are there for a reason) Exhaust header cover. Cracked windshield (torque specs) body work, headlight assembly(seal came loose allowing condensation) Rear bearing replacement(over torque compressed them together), throttle body assembly(one sticking plate) front sprocket and kick stand spring. All minor stuff, but would have added up. The body work is super strong but it will crack at the tabs if over torqued or not aligned properly.

Don't know why they were playing in world superbike and they were in financial trouble

I had limited experience with Buells. Rode a Blast and it surely wasn't. Talk about underwhelming in every regard.

Then an M2 Cyclone. What a . I would struggle to think of something decent to say about it. If they ever made a decent bike, I never heard about it.

To be fair, you rode what is regarded as the bottom of the barrel Buell bikes. That's like saying an zx10 isn't because you rode a Ninja 250 one time and it was slow.

I learned on a xb9 and that thing was stupid fun! , I'd buy Agent's Buell he has up for sale in a heartbeat if I had somewhere to put it.

This! My xb12r was a blast too but lack the top end I desire on my bikes. Would love to own xb12ss.

They weren't winning wasn't even close. That was too big of a gamble.

I didn't say they were doing it well. Besides Buell's thing was always selling street bikes as a way to fund his racing habit. Sort of a less successful Enzo Ferrari.
