Help with grom for my gf

My gf has extremely short legs. So even the grom she's tip toe-ing. I'm getting it lowered until she gets more comfortable riding. what is the best route to go?I'm buying the grom from bob lunsford up on 45 and they recommend cutting the stand. Is there another better option?

Thanks guys!

They are going to cut the kick stand and hope it lowers the bike?

no they're getting the links. but as for the stand they're just gonna cut it instead of getting a different stand.

Hmm try posting a picture of your gf next to the Grom. It'll give us a general idea on how to give you a better solution.

You could have just said she's a borderline dwarf, but I guess your version sounds better.

Chopping the stand is the cheap option. You'll either need to find someone to weld another footplate on it, or she'll have to carry a plate of some kind (metal junction box covers work well) to keep it up in the dirt or hot asphalt.

just cutting it is cheap and cutting corners. They need to cut out a section and weld the bottom part back on. Make sure they don't cut it too short.

Sounds like you are going to have to do a lot of stuff to that bike. Would probably be cheaper to just get a taller girlfriend.

Have the seat shaved down. That's what I am having to do with my Harley... I'm 5'5", but my legs are a tad bit shorter for the stock forward controls location. I could spend $900 on some -2 controls, but I'd rather pay $150 to an upholstery shop and have the seat taken down a bit.
