Bluebonnets???

Went for a ride today. Cypress 529 out to 362 to Brookshire, 1458 past Stephen F Austin State park to Sealy, 1094 to Cat Spring, wondered around through Fayetteville, Industry, Bleiblerville, up to Brenham back to Belleville then 529 back to Cypress.

Prolly saw 5 patches of bluebonnets. Maybe. Was really disappointed as this time of year and that entire area is usually covered. I was wondering if anyone has reports of more blooms.

head over towards Schulenberg(or south of I-10)

Two weeks ago we went to Washington on the Brazos and down 105--they were thin and the indian paintbrushes were leggy. I don't expect them to get better since the wild oats were overgrowing them and they were mostly pollinated (over 3/4 of their white hearts had changed to maroon).

My folks live near Schulenberg and the flowers were a lot denser down there when we were there over Easter. Also, the flowers were just starting to get pollinated and still had buds that were opening.

Was in the Marble Falls/Burnet area this weekend. Bluebonnets were amazing.
Took this just north of Marble Falls...

thanks for the heads up guys. Yeah from looking around more on FB, it appears north and west of Austin is having a great bloom this year. Colorado, Austin & Washington counties not so much.

There's a type of Bluebonnets in Big Bend that grow 4-5 feet tall. They're pretty amazing
