Yes, but the Mfgr championship only scores the top bike from each make.

To be helpful Ayoama would have to finish ahead of the top Yahmaha or Ducati. It might be possible if yahmaha have the issues they had last year.

But I don't think anyone expects him to be the top Honda, even if Marquez went out of the race, then Crutchlow would be first pick for that honor.

So chances he helps in th Mfgr championship are low.

This is more a kind of reward for the test rider to have a chance to race when opportunity presents itself.

They also need someone they can trust Pedrosa's engine allocation to, a scant 5 for the whole year, and not someone who'd have reason to try and prove something and be unfamiliar with the bike.

Will any points earned by aoyama be counted towards pedrosas points? So it would be essentially the same as if Pedrosa raced and finished in those places?

Nicky Hayden still has only won 3 races and no one answered the question. Just because I don't know every single rule doesn't mean anything. The thing my post proves is if I don't know something I'll ask, I won't just spout out some bs. When I know something I speak up, if I don't then I stay quiet or ask.

Pedrosa's surgery was a success and by success I think they mean they accomplished what they meant to do. Not that his problem is solved.

To be fair you had me feeling the same with statements like;

Marquez would've won if hadn't run wide, Pedrosa has an excuse for everything, and the best of all in this entire thread....Oh, I thought Audi (Germans) actually fired a bunch of Italian engineers and designed a bike that would actually turn and not try to kill it's riders?

Nothing beats "America is the largest market in motogp"

Yamaha, honda, ducati, suzuki, Aprilia.

Where do you think the highest percentage of their new motorcycle sales happen?

That's why America is one of the biggest markets. You don't hold two races every season in a small market, much less 3 when we had laguna.

Are we talking motorcycle sales or motogp?

Since America is about the size of Europe and Europe generally has its own market and not separate ones, then how many races are in Europe? How many are in Spain? Even England, a tiny island has had 2 races in a season there? Does Austin or Indy sell out for races? What about Valencia? Jerez? Catalunya?

Win on Sunday...sell on Monday. Or Tuesday with bikes. If you think sales isn't a big part of motogp, you're even less smart than I thought.

Europe is a continent, USA is not. Nice try though.

Austin did sell out in '13 iirc

Ok lets do countries, how many races in Spain?

Motogp doesn't sell bikes, motogp sells tickets to events and merchandise.

The manufacterers sell bikes, which according to this article Asia is the biggest market for Honda. Asia accounts for 14.6 million of Hondas 17 million sales. North America is a measly 276,000.

Spain has 4 rounds. Dorna is also based in Spain. So, there you go.

Asia is a continent, not a country. I'm done. You're retarded.

There is also twice as many races in Spain than in USA. That is while Spain has 46 million people as compared to America's 300+ million.

Who cares where they are based? They will put rounds that will make money, that's their business. What do you think would happen if there were 4 rounds in America? Each and everyone of them would flop because there aren't enough people going to American rounds.

Can't find the max capacity of cota but f1 had 117,000 attend the race while only 61,000 watched motogp race in 2013.
