He never had to kick his brake lever for him to go down. Just nudge the bar to change the angle enough to loose the front.

Guys it was just a reaction from Rossi when he felt MM trying to nudge him in to make the turn. Rossi's reaction was a knee out to say f*ck you and MM fell. I dont think VR meant for him to fall nor try to purposely hit his brake lever but he did. Anyway it all comes down to if MM was truly with VR and thus the championship or was he actually trying to run his own race. MM said no he wasnt, VR said yes. Either way VR was so frustrated he reacted and that was that and now he's been penalized and has to do the impossible to win the championship at Valencia. I dont think VR is a dirty rider, but other than VR, MM is the only one that will give as good as he gets (well maybe Iannone but he's still on that Duc). Maybe VR and get Iannone to with MM at Valencia. I hope so. Should be interesting

Marquez has never cared for anyone else, not their position or importance or right to occupy the same space on track... I doubt he started caring all of a sudden.

But this is not the death blow to Rossi's title hopes that everyine is making it out to be.

It comes down to the chances of Lorenzo finishing 2nd vs Rossi placing 6th from the back of the grid.

Lorenzo needs to beat Marquez or Pedrosa, both very fast and back on form. The chances of beating either of them is a tough task.

Just some figures for fun...in the entire existence of the Valencia track, 6th place in the 500/MotoGp class has never been closer than 15 seconds behind the race winner, and only on 3 occasions less than 20 sec in 16 yrs of racing there. This season 6th place has been 23 seconds (on avg) behind 1st place.

So just how much time will Rossi loose starting from back,?, I think 10-15 seconds. Last time Pedrosa started from rear he was already 10th after half a lap and 5 secinds behind the leader before getting taken out by Barbera.

Rossi still has a solid chance at the title. The Lorenzo steamroller is more easier thrown off course than the Rossi Recking Ball.

I honestly would not be surprised if Marc leads the whole race then waves Lorenzo right on by in one of the last laps to make sure beats Rossi in the championship.

What if the grid allowed Rossi to fly by them to get to the front? Could happen? Anyone know what any of these guys think or are saying?

A few riders have expressed the desire to let Rossi on by.

MotoGP does not have a 100% rule.

He has lead the points in the championship most of the season, that says more about his pace than not having the lead in 4 races.

In any case, the thread is about what happened at the last race.

It looks to me like he ran MM wide which is a poor choice but it also looks like MM accelerates into VR and then crashes.

The whole argument over telemetry is pointless because even if MM brakes were applied, it doesn't show intent.

AND the idea that in the split second of contact VR was able to intentionally hit MM's brake while looking the other way, trying to negotiate a turn at high speed and trying not to crash, all at the same time is absurd. If MM's brake was applied it was a result of him running into Rossi.

The idea of a kick is meaningless as well. You get your bike going say, 70mph and then have somebody kick it. It won't do .
The inertia and gyroscopic effect from the wheels spinning would be more than a little half assed sideways kick could overcome.
I guess it's just a coincidence that MM's bike falls perfectly in sync with VR's leg. Check the view from MM's on-board camera at this link

Were you surprised that MM passed J-Lo at the end of the last lap in Australia instead of letting him have first place and the points?

Rossi's mighty kick, so powerful it can knock over a motorcycle moving at high speed, combined with his uncanny ability to aim it at a half inch wide moving target, while steering a motorcycle and looking the other way is clearly proof that he's the first Italian magic ninja.

I guess if a hand can crash a bike a foot attached to an athletes leg surely can. Like I posted, the leg/bike action is purely coincidental

How is he able to turn a bike using one hand? Pretty incredible, huh? How much do you think he can leg press? Pretty sure I could kick a bike over and I know I can take my bike though a turn with one hand counteracting the force of the HESD.
