MotoGP 2015 Championship standings after Qatar




VALENTINO Rossi tops the MotoGP 2015 Championship standings after winning an intense battle with Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso.

The Ducati team have made a strong start to the season with Andrea Dovizioso currently residing in second and his team-mate Andrea Iannone in third.

Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez currently has 11 points after finishing in fifth behind Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo and his Repsol Honda team-mate is one-point behind in sixth.

Brit Cal Crutchlow is currently seventh for the CWM LCR Honda team whereas fellow Brit Bradley Smith is starting the 2015 season where he finished in 2014 and that's in 8th.

The second round of the 2015 season will take place at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on 12th April.
