BRAND NEW! 04' CRF250R For Sale

Attachment 847002004 CRF250R that has been meticulously maintained. New valves, springs, seals and retainers. New crank bearings & top end w/ 5Hrs. Ported/Polished head by J/M Racing along with J/M Racing suspension components. Full FMF exhaust. Almost new Pirelli Tires. Renthal bars & sprockets. DID gold chain. New shroud graphics. This bike runs like a scalded ape and sounds amazing. Quick throttle response with 0% bog. The only problem I've had was the crank bearings locking up. Otherwise, this bike has been problem free and has performed flawlessly. I bought this bike new and have enjoyed it for the past 11 years. I'm ready to part ways and start a new life with another bike. And the bike looks better in person. $3,500

Or 11 years OLD...

OP, any particular reason you're asking $3500 when average retail is $1800?

it's actually worth about $1,800 (taking that from above). You are thinking of a BRAND NEW 2014, not a used freshly updated USED 2004.

even on CL the asking rate for '04-'08 CRF250R's seems to be $2400-$3000, for bikes that haven't required a full bottom end rebuild due to major mechanical failure.

The title BRAND NEW got your attention did it not? Obviously an 11 year old bike isnt brand new. It is "new" because due to the maintenance history, the bike is pristine. Which is also visually apparent . It is 11 years old and will out run a new 250 guaranteed. And Jae, crank bearings seizing up is not a major mechanical failure. I replaced the bearings and gaskets and I havent had any problems with the bottom end for the past 4 years. If you strictly maintain your bike(put a new top end when your supposed to, put new valves when they wear out, change the oils, clean the air filter after every ride, keep the chain lubed and spokes tight) wouldnt you consider it being closer to new than old? And it seems like the majority of you guys havent ever sold anything. For one, you never ask your lowest number and second, the bike is worth however much someone is willing to pay. If your not interested in the purchase than why waste your time posting? Must not value your time

That's stupid bro. The actual definition of BRAND new :

brand new
adjective
adjective: brand new
completely new.

The bike isn't brand new by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, you got our attention, because BRAND new 2004 doesn't make any sense, naturally people will look. I agree, people will pay whatever they want to pay so it's a moot argument, but the bikes not new, do not advertise it as such.

Where are the mods that are supposed to ban people for spamming classified ads?

OP I get that saying it is new was tongue in cheek. It sounds like a nice bike fora decent price,
Good luck with your sale!
