I have an EZ tag for my bike and keep it in my jacket so I have it no matter which bike I ride. And then I ride the white line and rarely ever have a toll charge.

Recommend getting one.

Hmm, neat trick. Might have to try that. I have one in my car I just need to get another one, or peel it off the windshield...

The "EZ Tag" for motorcycles is a plastic transponder, it's not a sticker. I keep mine in the tail

plus they cross check the plate with the tag

how do I know? because I put a sticker tag on a piece of lexan and stuck it to the windshield with spit. Then moved it to my other car.

Boom bunch of tickets...

I wouldn't even mind paying the $20 deposit or whatever is required for the motorcycle transponder, but if they make me get one for each individual bike... , it's almost cheaper to just risk the tickets. It's rare that I ever use a toll road on my bike anymore anyway though.

You can get the ez tag online and order it from Dallas or Austin and pay $0 in fees or deposits and it will work on Houston toll roads. It's a simple way to avoid those costs that Harris County charges.

Ooooor, you could just ride the line and not worry about having an ez tag.

But wouldn't that be "stealing"?

If you're referring to a TxTag "The charge for a motorcycle tag includes a refundable deposit." I don't know when or how you get the refund

Exactly, you don't. They always keep that money. Yet another way they exploit the commuter who is already paying for road construction.

All I know is I got my money back and then some.

If you choose to live and work far apart you pay with your time and money. I chose to work and live close.

Some peoples lives are a little more complicated than that.

Back when I had a choice, I did live close to work...I didn't choose this , its just the way it all panned out.

Moving not an option and there are no jobs that pay anywhere close to what I make now near the house.
