MotoBud.com Beta

Hey Guys,

So, a few weeks ago, I mentioned an APP I was working on, that got less than favorable reviews. I used it, it works, and i left it as a personal app. I did however decide to push forward with another project I was working on. MotoBud.com is a social network of sorts for motorcycle riders. While their are others that exist, none have the same features dedicated for riders. A CMS wasn't used here, so their are no features not specific to riders, we have virtual garages so you can store receipts for mods, and maintenance, fundraising events, normal events, profile pages, and searching for who's available in your area. While I won't go into detail here with what makes us that much more awesome, i will link let you know our services are free, and not an ad on the website exists, and will continue to exist this way. I'd love some feedback.

You can view the motobud event at : http://motobud.com/events/1

Thanks!

Not a fan of tinder, and i've not really used it. Right now we focus mostly on simply connecting people based on where they live, and if they are available for riding. I've added some additional features, like the ability to instant message, create events, fundraising, profiles, and the ability to sell items in your location as well.

The mobile site is hardly ready, the existing site works for mobile phones, but we've got known issues with all iphone 5 series phones, six seems to have no problem. Before I sink anymore of my time, which is essentially money, I need to know it's worth the effort. I want to add tons more features, and even make it native with maps, and various other things. However, at the end of the day, if people have no use for it, then it's just money being wasted. I've currently only told the fz600r forum, and you guys about the site. It has a few likes on facebook, and some local people who've already joined. I do look forward to any and all feedback!

Thanks!

baha, their are already "dating" sites specifically for motorcycles. I really wasn't going in that direction. However, you can see if the rider is male, or female , and you can send 'em a message. you can even text them / email them if they set themselves as discoverable by phone number in their profile settings!.. but that's about as far as " dating " does with motobud.

Well, stuff like that will get added, I certainly plan on utilizing more map functionality on the mobile native platform. This is more of a testing the waters type thing, like i said before. I have a list of about 3495 things i need to get done on it, which is why i'm not really pushing it very hard, but right now im running into an issue with the API im using to do thel ocations, it's very specific, and i didnt' take into account rider radius, so if you look for someone in Houston, you wont find people in sprint, pasadena, spring branch, cypress, etc. That was a huge oversite, so for those that have already signed up, which look to be quite a few, then please note im working on that now.
