First time doing mx in a decade(video)

On Monday I got to go to rio bravo and rediscover my love for dirt biking. This is the first time I've owned a dirt bike several years and the first time on a mx track in a decade. I am the lead bike, constructive criticism and tips are greatly appreciated.

Terrible, at the beginning of the day I managed 5-6 laps in a row. By the end of the day I could do 2 laps before I was struggling to hold on to the bike.

The weird thing is my legs didn't bother me at all the day of, but I am now barely being able to walk normally. My legs feel like the first time you do a leg work out.

I bet....I recall the days of doing 4-5 laps and then sitting for 30-40 minutes recovering. As for your legs, you were doing a bit of sitting (I'm lazy like that too) so probably explains the lack of pain initially. For 10 years off a dirtbike, you looked good. Drink more water and increase your sodium intake for the muscle cramps.

Yeah I need to work on riding smarter and not have a death grip on the bars. My right arm was struggling with keeping steady throttle and holding on tight.

two fingers over the clutch at all times....can't tell you how many times pulling the clutch lever kept my from flying off the track....or into a tree.

I only broke my collar bone and got my 4th concussion on a dirt bike. Breaking a femur would keep me off a dirt bike for a long time.

Going on 14 years now with no plans to get back on one.

I did finally come around and get a street bike though.
