hmmm, I agree. $4/day if not more....got caught 3 times out of probably 60. Called 'em, told them I had EZ tag in car and thought they would just charge that account, so they did. Then they asked if I needed another EZ tag. I told them no thanks

"Riding the line" is a chargable offense as well... times 2.

1. for not paying toll
2. for crossing a solid white line

Me and 2 other bikes got pulled over years ago for it... so if you ever see a cop on the side of the road, just past the toll booths, just go through the toll and hope for just one ticket.

Or just get an eztag and be done with, you cheap bastards!

There is a new form to fill out when you sell a vehicle, I think it's optional. You fill out the vehicle info, sellers name and pay $5 (you didn't think it was gonna be free did you?) This releases you from liability in case the new owner never transfers the title. It might also make the new owner subject to accumulated fees if they delay transferring the title for too long.

http://www.txdot.gov/forms/vehicle_titles.htm

It's form VTR-346. I won't link directly to a .pdf

The Toll Road Authority is aware of many bikes and cars (yes, cars) doing this, so they are starting to convert the cameras to videos... this way they can slow down the vid and get a snap shot of your plate.... they will start installing the same videos cams found at the red lights at the toll stations... you can't get out of a civil offense...

it is funny how they can make sensors that can "see" your bike for tolls but not for red lights.:eh: :eh:

i read/heard somewhere (i.e. newspaper, news or something...not just hear say) that the sensors on most tolls now are calibrated to even catch people
(even motorcycles) that are riding the line. there main drive was to catch motorcyclist that do this.

actually it looks like he did try to "ride the line", in the picture he is at the far left, not centered at all.

if i had a scanner i would post it.

i didnt get anything from British Usa that would prove i no longer own it, i will be calling them and they will have to handle it. they didnt give me the proper paperwork.

traded in a car once, a few months later i got a letter from the city of Brownsville about parking tickets, had never been to that hellhole in my life, a couple of calls to the dealership took care of it.

Mine is tucked up under the tail and it done the same way on the 636 that is now my chics bike. Ive done it a few times and no letter for me! Id like to get an easy tag for the bike but for how often i actually have to ride it on the beltway, its kinda pointless. Im usually caging when i have to go on the beltway.

LMAO!

If Brittish USA cannot provide paperwork that you sold the bike to them prior to this, they can certainly prove that they sold the bike to someone else with those plates on.

We have this problem in our business sometimes, we have 5 free loaner cars, when we service customers cars we provide them with a FREE ride and they blow the toll booths, me off we are doing them a favor and this is what we get in return. One Guy we did a engine in his car, ran the toll 6 times a day every day he had our car and we got the bills later and they totalled something like 350.00 and the deadbeat wouldnt pay, after we gave him a free car, that . WE had another car we gave a lady and shee had a full tank of gas when she picked it up, she called like 3 days later wanting a new car, because that one was now out of gas, or she said we could fill it up for her, uh NO, you ran it out you fill it up stupid . man the nerve of some people.
