There are about 4 corners that are WFO sweeping corners like Houston's turn 2 is, and in both right and left handers. Not to mention the bumps, "strategically placed" so that you need to take the right line through...

TWS (Texas World Speedway) is a great track, but deceptive. You may think you're carrying a good pace there until someone passes you on the outside of turn 1 with a 30 mph difference in speed!

Not trying to scare anyone, it is fun, and there is a lot of pavement.

The biggest issues I have seen people (mostly new people) have is *thinking* that they are carrying "too much speed", then standing up the bike and run off track (really bad idea in the turn 1 & 2 area)- 99 times out of 100, you can roll off, control brake, and bend it in with no issues.

Target fixation is the other thing, sometimes TWS (Texas World Speedway) is so big, you can find yourself not looking all the way through the turns.

If you think that the b group is a little too spirited and want to move to c group, just let me know at the grid and I'll make that happen for you. That goes for moving up too (unless the higher group has too many folks in it).

Thanks! And I didn't mean any disrespect! It was just how it was explained to me! I am in C group! I know that even after 5 trackdays at MSRH, I will continue on my slow learning pace! The way I see it, I have a long time to " Go fast" once I get comfortable on my bike!

You should talk to Patrick as well. Brandon raced a 636 last year and Rocky is racing a 636 this year that Patrick built.

yeah i had brandon in mind when i saw his times on the 636. we got into the sport around the same time and used to talk a bit. im proud of him to do so well so fast. i need the engine cause i weight 215. but im not going to bother patrick untill i have the bike in my hands. i really like the new honda too! i cant make up my mind wether to get the 636 and spend money modifiying that. or spend extra money on the honda and ride it less trick untill i can get it set up right.

the 636 is way more than enough, even in stock form for most people. i love mine and probably still haven't tapped into the majority of it's capabilities and i ride the out of that thing. if you keep it stock, against a pretty well modified other 600CC bike, you'll be about even. It's not always in the motor, it's mostly in the right wrist and in your mind! I'm faster on my 636 than i was on a 1k, AT TWS (Texas World Speedway)!!!!

yes i do ride in all groups, as an instructor/ control rider it is a must. Evaluation is what we call it, some people tend to get in a little over their heads, ( mostly people on Busa') so we are there to keep an eye on everyone and help out ANYONE that asks or needs it. IF you are in C group, you'll be doing the round robin to begin the day. You should sign up for the instructors school/class, you'll learn quite a bit, its very helpfull and you'll get 1 on 1 time with an instructor plus SBK will be doing the video which helps a ton. Henry's videos are great, he is a very good eye, and instructor. You'll sit in the class room and review the video while asking questions, getting answers and well, i can't tell you too much. Theres more to the class than you know, it's secret, you have to sign up to get the full Monty. Just sign up for the class, you won't be dissapointed! We promise

well im very interested in the 636..... ive used up every bit of the power on my r6. i run consistent 152's at TWS (Texas World Speedway) now which isnt anything super but i need help with my bikes geometry to help it turn faster and handle smoother so i can carry more corner speed. if i had a lil help settin my bike up proper im sure i could easily grab 2 more seconds on the r6. when i diet to 200lbs i could get one more second there too (which i am doing). the rest for me is power. i want to go as fast as possible. its frustrating trying to find "true" help from the trackside venders cause they are so busy tryin to make a buck that u can't do any true testing. my experience with them was they fiddle with my settings and i pay them for it. then i would go out and try it. be 3 seconds slower....then spend an hour trying to find them and another half hour waiting for them to take a look at my bike again if there was time. in the end i have to tinker with the setups myself to get my times lower an basically wasted my money. i know how to twist the wrist. im just not an expert tuner/tinkerer. im thinking of hooking up with Cambora when i get my next bike. ive talked with him a few times and a few talented riders im friends with trust him so thats where im headed. mike sanchez an brian west keep telling me to get rid of my bike an get new machinery and i will do much better. we will find out soon enough.

Ive been to TWS (Texas World Speedway) once, turns 1, 2, and 7 are intimidating.. 1-2 I can never figure out when to slow down... and turn 7 wow crazy turn... I cant figure out how fast I can hit it safely! lol Turn 7 is a roller coaster
