Any Sunday afternoon rides?

Anyone interested in a slow(60-85 mph average) speed ride Sunday, 6-10-07 afternoon? I just got in and it's already 6 AM so I'm about to go to bed until early afternoon. I was hoping someone(or some people) would be down for a later ride around 4-6PM this evening around NW Houston. Maybe start in Tomball. Let me know.

I'm open for some new scenery. Do you have a trip planned out?

Nothing planned yet, I'm up for anything. Maybe take 149 to 1097 or something?

If anyone wants to meet up I'll be at the Kroger gas station at 4 corners in Tomball(249 and 2920) @ 5pm, leaving by 5:10. My cell

Wish I would have seen your post, just got back from a ride up to the Conroe/Willis area. The roads weren't as curvy as I like, I think I was spoiled when I rode in Pennsylvania.

Are the roads near Tomball better?

Maybe next time I wont be retarded and I'll actually check the site before I leave :icon_bigg

Ha, I wish you checked too, I ended up doing a short 80 miles solo before coming home. Conroe has much better riding, you just have to know where to go. If you are coming from the Woodlands take 45 to 105 and make a left onto 105. Take that ~10 miles(just an estimate). Until you hit the junction for highway 149. Then make a RIGHT onto 149 and take that. 149 has some pretty decent riding, just watch for animals. From 149 you can either hit 1375 all the way to 45 then ride 45 back but what I would suggest is riding to 1791 and taking 1791 to Huntsville. 1791 is 15 miles long and then you'll make a right onto the first highway you come to. Ride it about 3 miles and you're in Huntsville. Eat lunch in Huntsville(it's cheap because it's a college town-I have a house there from August-May so if you're ever in town during that time I'll treat ya). Then from Huntsville take 45 back to 1375(maybe 10 miles). Take 1375 back to 149 and then just do the rest of the route backwards. It's a real nice country ride that never has traffic and will take you about 2.5-3 hours depending on how fast you ride and if you stop at all.
