Same thing happened to us in Unaweep canyon..'cept they were in the middle of a K-turn.. had just enough room to get around on the edge of the shoulder...

Peoples are stupid and totally engrossed in their own little world!!

Other question is WTF with the rider putting his foot down.. Rossi Jr on the brakes?

I have it.. just edited it out of the posted version.. hard to actually see him weaving back and forth until after I passed and he crossed the centerline in front of Jimmy...

I think its funny how that guy was asking "are you stupid" but one could argue that they were riding outside of legal limits thinking it was their race track. I like riding the back roads at a good pace too. But this reason is why Deals Gap is so scary. I have had cars come in my lane on the gap as well as bikes and it is all blind and scary. When I drove my car out there, I had to avoid a few over the line bikes. That car in this video could have easily a fallen tree like the one I experienced in Honea Egypt road.

The car came out of nowhere because the bikes were going way faster than they had any business going. It's not like it pulled out in front of them... They were traveling so quickly that they couldn't see it until it was very nearly too late.

Edit: camera vehicle was probably a car but you get the point.

Either way, they were stopped in the lane, after a blind curve.. even your average nitwit playing on a phone would have probably hit them.

The car was completely stopped in the middle of the road after a turn looking at scenery. Sure, they were going faster than posted, and we all assume the risks when we ride the same way, but we rely on the expectation that other vehicles will behave in at least a remotely predictable manner.

I assume they will happily repay the taxes he paid to register that $70K car?

Seems like you can register just about anything as a home-built construction so long as it passes the inspections they have setup. I'd be really curious to know what the justification was for revoking the license (registration).
